Every letter of the alphabet has been given a secret weight from 1 to 9. The weights change with every puzzle. A word weighs whatever its letters add up to.
Your job is to find a real word that weighs exactly the target. Any length, from two letters up.
So one long word early on is a cheap way to band a lot of letters at once. Short words are clumsy probes but precise landings. That trade is the whole game.
Once a letter is banded, the tracker offers you its three candidate weights. Tap one to pin your best guess. Pinned weights are only your notes, so nothing stops you pinning the wrong one. If your pins cover a word you have already weighed and they don't add up to what it weighed, the tracker tells you so.
Every guess earns you one reveal. Spending it shows the real weight of a letter you have used, in green and locked. A green number is the truth. Everything else on the tracker is your own working.
